Today, I choose joy.

We all have things in life that make our heart happy. For me, it is watching my kids play and run through water like it is the best thing they have ever done. There is this "spray ground" (splash pad) near our house that we love to visit. It costs $3 to get in and the kids have the best time running through the water and playing. I could spend hours just watching them run and play their little hearts out. What more can I ask for?

Here are some pictures from one of these outings. I adore these pictures! You can just see the joy on their faces and that makes my heart so happy.

*Picture overload ahead*

Savannah's 3rd birthday celebration

Happy Monday! It was a good weekend. We celebrated Josh yesterday and spent a lot of time outside. Saturday we celebrated Savannah Grace's 3rd birthday (which is this Friday) with Josh's side of the family since we will be going out of town this weekend to celebrate. I can not wait for our trip to Nashville Friday!

Sweet summer time

It has been gorgeous here in MS, so we have spent a lot of time outdoors playing lately. It keeps the kids entertained and wears them out for nap time so it is ideal for everyone. :-) Good nap days keep me sane!

I am enjoying summer time with my littlest two, but really miss my biggest sweet girl, Hayley. She is at her Dad's for a couple more weeks and then it is time for a girl's trip with her, Savannah and my mom and sister to Nashville and then back home for some summer fun with all three kiddos. I can't wait.

Here is what's going on with our family as of the end of May/beginning of June 2013:

Hayley: got all A's on her report card and made the Principal's List at school, growing so fast and is such a big helper and great big sister, loves to read like her Momma. She enjoys swimming and Barbies.

Savannah: went pee pee on the potty today for the first time ever!, is out of preschool until August, turns 3 on the 21st. She enjoys playing outside, swimming, coloring and riding her tricycle.

Donovan: has been talking more and eating like a champ, carries his night-night around everywhere, loves to climb and make big messes. He enjoys eating, bath time, playing outside and cuddling.

Happy Tuesday!

Happy Tuesday! I am struggling big time this morning because my dear son decided he did not want to sleep last night. I am hoping to feel more human after some much needed coffee. :)

Sunday was Mother's Day and it was an amazing day. I woke up at 7:30 and the house was quiet as could be. Josh had taken the kids to get breakfast and coffee. Which means he got them all dressed and loaded up by himself. Such a good Daddy! I really wasn't expecting anything but maybe a dinner out but I was surprised with flowers and a new hair straightener I have been wanting. We ended up going to eat Mexican for dinner, the perfect ending to a wonderful day.

My sweet "baby" boy is 18 months old today! It feels like yesterday he was born but I can't imagine my life without him in it. Even if he refuses to sleep!

Hayley has been playing softball and is quite good at it. She has an excitement for it that she didn't have for soccer. You can just see how happy she is while playing. I am so proud of my biggest kid and the person she is becoming.

My sweet Savannah Grace is 3 next month! We are going on a "girl trip" to Nashville for the weekend to celebrate instead of having a party. My mom and sister, Hayley, Savannah and I are planning on lots of fun at the zoo, swimming, and playing. We are leaving Dad and Donovan at home for some boy bonding. :)

Preschool is out for summer and my main goal is to get Savannah potty trained before August when it starts back. I think I can, I think I can! Little Ms. Diva just has no interest in it right now.

That's about all we have going on. Hope it is a great day for everyone! Bring on the coffee.

It's a love/hate/love relationship

My youngest two are 17 months apart. They are both in that toddler "everything is mine" stage. When they are getting along it is so sweet. The reality with two toddlers though is that they are both learning and exploring. Hello...sharing is not fun!

Savannah Grace has really just now started to love on her baby brother. His name is Donovan but she pronounces it Bonoban (so stinking cute). So lately she has been wanting to "hug" Bonoban and by hug I mean squeeze his neck until he cries.

These two...

I am so excited to see their close bond develop as they grow! Hopefully, they will be protective of each other and love each other unconditionally.

February

There hasn't been a whole lot of anything going on with our family. We are just enjoying this crazy spring like weather we have had lately and taking full advantage of it while we can.

We had a low key but fun Valentine's day and I am so looking forward to Easter this year since the youngest two will "get" it more this year.

So far 2013 has been good to us! I have been praying about whether or not we are done expanding our family. I have been debating getting my tubes tied this summer and discussed it with my OB recently. I just want to really make sure before such a big decision. Three kids just seems like the perfect number for us!
