What a week!

This week has been a great one. Despite temps being in the 100s, we have had a great time. I picked up Hayley on Saturday and we were so happy to see big sister!

We had Savannah Grace's 2nd bday party Sunday and it there was lots of yummy food and fun. This is one of the only pics I got on my phone.

I got some cute pics on my camera but haven't downloaded (uploaded?) them yet. We had such a good time that Hayley passed out at 6 pm and slept until 6 the next morning. That never happens!

On Monday, I took Hayley to see Disney's movie "Brave". It was cute and she loved it.

The rest of the week we swam, ate snow cones and went to the library. Some pics from this week....

Have a fabulous weekend, ya'll!

Random Friday & Blog Makeover!

Are you as excited about the movie "Magic Mike" coming out as I am? No matter what I am doing, if a preview for this movie comes on I can't help but stop and stare at the TV. Yummy, yummy.

Yesterday was Savannah's 2nd birthday! She didn't really know what was going on but she got a mini strawberry cupcake for breakfast. I may have had one or three myself.

Her birthday party is this Sunday and I am excited to have friends and family over to celebrate.

My oldest daughter has a dairy allergy so I am stoked that my Mom found a vegan/dairy free strawberry cake with icing for the party. Sounds delish. I am also looking for some dairy free recipes to cook if you have any suggestions.

I got a new blog design by Kristen at http://www.fromkristenwithlove.com/. She was super easy to work with and is so talented and reasonably priced. Check out her blog!

2 years

Dear Savannah Grace,

Happy 2nd birthday! I am pretty sure you were just turning one and here we are a year later. Each day your little personality grows stronger and stronger. You may be petite but you can hold your own! You wear a size 4 diaper and show no interest in potty training. When you are sleepy you cuddle with your pink blanket and pull fuzz off it and stick it in your nose. It is the funniest thing and you started doing this after your paci was taken away to self soothe.

You are loving swimming, Barney, chicken nuggets and sleeping in your big girl bed. You love pushing your stroller with your baby doll in it and playing outside. You adore the dogs and you "help" give them their treats. You also like to "help" me put laundry in the dryer and make the beds. You enjoy tormenting your baby brother which makes for busy days around here. ;)

I love you very much Savannah and I am so blessed to be your mommy.

The not so bummer summer

No, my name is not Judy Moody and I'm not a 3rd grader looking for a spectacular summer. I am a 30 year old mom of three that is hoping for a "not bummer" summer. In other words, I just don't want it to suck.

I would love to say that I am planning a relaxing vacation and have lots of fun things planned. Alas, there are two babes in diapers and one guzzling formula. I swear I'm not exaggerating when I say that we are spending a small fortune on keeping the wee ones fed and clean bottomed.

Maybe they should just go nude?? Ha. I did forget to buy those swimmer diapers and so Savannah went swimming in just her suit (in our backyard) and let's just say before I could change her back into her clothes she had a blowout. In the swimsuit. With no diaper. I am for sure not one that could cloth diaper. It just about made me gag.

This little swim suit pooper is going to be 2 in just a few weeks. Has it really been a year since she turned one?

Hayley has been at her Dad's (6 looong hours away) but I get her back in 13 days and just in time to celebrate her sister's 2nd birthday. We are not doing a big party this year. We are just going to have family over and swim and grill out and have cupcakes and ice cream. Sounds nice to me!

Oh, and some awesome news. My little insomniac baby is finally sleeping better. He has been waking only once around 3 or 4 for a bottle and going back to sleep. Yay, Donovan!

Anyways, since we are not planning anything spectacular this summer I am determined to make it fun. That means visiting the "Slip-n-Dip" which is kind of like a water park if water parks only had two slides and a pool and doing lots of backyard swimming and playing. Maybe even eating a snow cone or four.
