Tis the season!
I can't believe Christmas is almost here already. This year has flown by. It's been a crazy busy year...we bought a house in June, had a baby boy in November and bought a new car in December (Merry Christmas to me!)
This guy also turned 5 Weeks old. Here he is with ole St. Nick
Here are some pics from this month
We went to a Christmas party at Josh's employer's house last weekend and they have Donovan a 4 foot tall sock monkey! How awesome is that?!

He is finally here!!!
Baby Donovan James came into the world on November 14, 2011 at 2:33 a.m. This is also his oldest sister's birthday! He weighs 7 lbs and 11 ozs and is 21 1/2 inches long. I was 39 weeks and 5 days pregnant with him. He arrived about 25 minutes after we got to the hospital and I was not sure we would make it on time. Since I was complete when I arrived at the hospital, it was too late to get any pain medicine or epidural and I was terrified that I would just die or pass out from the pain. I guess the saying is true that you don't know how strong you are until you have no other choice. A few pushes later and he was born! He is so beautiful with hardly any hair and blue gray eyes. I think he looks just like his daddy. :) Needless to say, we are in love with him already!! I feel so blessed that God has entrusted Josh and I with this precious little baby boy. Here are some pics from the hospital and the first week of Donovan's life.

39 weeks...so close!
I am 39 weeks preggo today with baby boy Smith. Last Wednesday, we had a false alarm and I was admitted to L&D for monitoring overnight but released Thursday because I hadn't made any progress. I am 2 cent. dilated and am BEYOND ready to meet this sweet baby. The bags are packed, the nursery is ready and he is welcome anytime. ;) I have been having some pretty decent BH contractions and tonight the moon is 99% full and there is a full moon tomorrow so maybe I will have some luck. Haha. I would love for him to have the b-day 11/11/11, but I am afraid that the hospital will be overcrowded due to c-sections and inductions being scheduled. I guess we will see.
I did take a 39 week belly shot but it isn't the best pic so I am going to try and post a better one later.

Pumpkin Patch 2011
This past weekend Josh and I took Savannah Grace to her first pumpkin patch. We all had fun and the weather was beautiful. I think next year SG will be able to really enjoy all the festivities. It's crazy to think we will have her almost one year old brother with us next year.

35 Weeks!
Yay for week 35!! With 35 days left until D-day. This momma is getting excited. On a side note, I think I have consumed approximately 6.5 pounds of candy corn the past few weeks.

34 weeks!
Let me just say, this pregnancy has been wonderful. I don't know if it is the difference in carrying two girls and now a boy or what but this has been by far the easiest pregnancy of the three. I had such horrible morning sickness with both Hayley and SG. With this baby boy, I think I have gotten sick a handful of times and one of those times was when Josh took a big bite out of sauerkraut right in front of me. That was so gross. I have gained a little more than I had hoped and am hovering right around 30 pds so I'm guessing about the time he arrives I will be at the 35 pds mark. I just wanted to jot down a couple of things about this pregnancy before the next few weeks fly by and Josh and I can't remember.
First trimester:
I think I might have gained 6-8 pounds this trimester.
Second trimester:
I was feeling pretty good at this point still. At 20 weeks we found out baby was a boy and I cried like a baby at the sonogram. We were soooo excited that you are healthy and a boy!
I am still craving cherry limeades and also pickles, green olives, candy, salads with raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Oh, and cokes. Big time.
We moved when I was about 5 months pregnant to the house we live in now. We thought we would never find the right house but we finally did and this has definitely become our home. I can't wait to bring this sweet little one home from the hospital.
Third trimester:
Daddy bought a crib!! And put it together all by himself. I love this man!!! We are so anxious and excited to meet you!
I am craving Arby's beef & cheddars, ice cream, cokes, candy corn (so healthy) and lately chocolate milk a lot. Which is weird for me because I am NOT a big milk drinker.
Baby is kicking and punching me all the time, especially at night when Daddy is near. It is so cute how he hears Josh's voice and goes crazy!
Can't wait to meet you sweet baby boy. Daddy and I love you so much already.
First trimester:
I didn't get very sick this pregnancy at the beginning was just tired. I was very hormonal at first and that kind of tipped me off that I was expecting.
I craved cherry limeades and Subway all the time (Josh can send up a big amen on that one)

Savannah Grace lately
I can't believe next week my little baby girl will be 16 months!!! Savannah has had some big changes recently. (Well, big to her mommy.) She has now been paci free for 12 days. This is HUGE for her because she loves her paci. She has done so much better than I expected. She is also now wearing size 4 diapers. Which are still a tad big on her but the 3's were getting snug. You weigh 21 pounds and are walking/ running all over the place.
Some of your favorite things:
Your stacker toy and books
You love the doggies. Your face just lights up when you see them. You call them Gah-gees :) They are so patient with you even when you get a little rough.

Savannah Grace is 14 months old
We had such a great weekend. We didn't do much since it was so hot outside but we had fun playing inside. I love seeing SG's little personality come out. She loves to laugh and dance. She is standing alone for a few minutes and taking a few steps at a time but no full on walking yet.

27 weeks (Hello 3rd trimester!)
I am officially in the last trimester! Yippee!! I went to the doctor yesterday and did the dreaded gestational diabetes test. We passed with flying colors! I had to get a 140 or below and mine was 94. Then my doctor got called to surgery while I was waiting for the hour test to be over. So, I had to go back today to finish my checkup. I was so disappointed when they weighed me. I have gained more than I thought! For a total weight gain so far of 26 pounds. *****OOPS*****. With 12 weeks to go, I better chill on the weight gain or it won't be pretty. I have been feeling pretty good except my feet start hurting at the end of the day. Sleeping ok, just takes a while to get comfortable and I have to get up during the night a couple times to pee. :)

Trying to get my craft on
I decided this past weekend that I wanted to make something for Baby D's nursery. The only problem is that while I have good intentions, I am not a "crafty" type person. I don't have the attention span it takes to get what I want done and I get frustrated when the product doesn't come out the way I envisioned.
So, I started researching projects for beginner crafts. And I really wanted to make a sock monkey. Like this little guy....
But knowing me and my crafting abilities, I knew it would come out looking like this tragic sock monkey...
Or maybe this um, sock monkey??...
So, I decided to paint some letters for the nursery. Try to keep in mind this is a beginner's attempt. :) I still have to paint the inside of the D.

I have a 2nd grader....and a walker!
Two big things happened last week. First, my baby girl who I swear was just 4 years old started 2nd grade!! She is growing so fast and is so smart. She loves to read and is the most sensitive and sweetest girl. I get a little teary eyed when I think about how quickly she is growing. Sigh.
And this is Hayley last Sunday on August 7th before church with GiGi and Papaw
Hayley started walking at 11 months so I have been waiting for Savannah Grace (who is 13 months) to take her 1st steps any day. I think she is more cautious than her older sister. :) Well, last weekend on Aug. 6th she finally took some steps. Of course, I haven't been able to capture them on film yet. But I am sure there will be plenty of time for that in the future.

26 week pregnancy update
I am now almost 7 months pregnant! I must say, it has gone by quickly. I have gained about 18 pounds so far and my belly is really growing fast. Now I need help to get up off the ground and am having trouble picking things up off the floor. Ha.

We FINALLY got the crib put together a couple weeks ago. Josh did such a good job.
The finished product! We are still deciding on a mattress and baby's bedding. Hopefully soon....

Trip to Nashville on July 24, 2011
We took a trip to Nashville on July 24th. I was 6 months pregnant on this trip! Saturday night we went to a NASCAR race at the Nashville Super Speedway. On Sunday Hayley and I spent the day at Chuck E. Cheese and the park. It was a hot but beautiful day and we had such a good time playing.
And this is Hayley after running around at the park. We got hot and sweaty! :)
